A few weeks ago we arrived home and in the excitement of us being home Mishca ran out into the garden, and out there she has either run past a thorny rosebush or cornered one of our cats. The result was a nasty scratch on her eye, and it has had to be removed. She has now fully recovered from the surgery and is back to her lazy self.

I snapped these photos of her this morning of her being cute with my lensbaby lens.

Birds

Daylight saving is great! After work tonight we took Mishca down the road to Lake Monger Reserve, which is only a few blocks from our place. The Lake is an important feeding and breeding habitat for waterbirds, migratory birds, tortoises and is a drought refuge when other wetland areas dry up in the summer months.

Having daylight saving is very novel because we missed it so much while we were in Queensland (yes the Sunshine State does not have sunshine in the evening). I took my new camera along and got some pics too.

Dog’s Breakfast

We decided to try a new cafè for breakfast this week, and Monza on Oxford St in Leederville looked good. We ordered coffees and our meal, and after about half an hour decided to enquire how far away our breakfast was. The waiter then asked if he could take our order again because it had been lost, so we decided to leave and headed to our usual cafè- Cranked.
